Definitely autumn! Bright sunshine but cooler, jackets on! A dozen riders met in Fleetville.
The Further Faster group of seven headed east along the Alban Way, out the other side of Hatfield and headed along NCN12 towards Welwyn Garden City. Coffee was calling, and we took to the Woodhall Farm road and under the railway to Stanborough Park and coffee by the lake.

Onward through Handside, oops, overshot the easily missed NCN12 access into Sherrards Park Woods, back we go and then along the Ayot Greenway towards Wheathampstead.
Down Sheepcote Lane and across into Dyke Lane, then crossing over at the Wicked Lady to gain the Nomansland Common track. Near to Gibbet Cross a driver had misjudged something! [Picture from Facebook]
Not the first driver - DfT figures show 4 crashes since 2020.
From Sandridge the group split heading for home via House Lane or Sandridgebury Lane as suited. 18 - 20 miles ridden. A super ride on a beautiful day in good company.
The five Fabulous riders were also enjoying Nomansland today, a route involving Green Ring, Sandridgebury Lane and Jersey Lane took us on a loop to coffee at West End Barns.
